Sad day a few weeks back: after months of debating if the guys and I were going to enter the 48 Hour Film Festival in DC, we decided to register - only to be informed that the contest was full and we were placed on the waiting list. We were, needless to say, disappointed, and we didn't have high hopes for getting in.
But...
This morning I received an email that spots had opened up, and so we're back in the game! We registered for the contest, and so, in two weeks, we'll be working on our 4-7 minute short! I'm so excited!
Between this film festival, the screenwriting contest (which starts tomorrow night at midnight), our sketches (which we're resuming on Saturday under my direction and with my script), and the continuing podcast, I feel really great about where I'm going creatively. I've really had a great run lately, and it's nice to see the weather change and be ready to get back outside and work with the camera. I'm feeling great about the direction that I'm in...
( More personal... )Anyway, that's the story, Morning Glory. Im off to work on a sketch rewrite and storyboard for the weekend's shooting, and I'll check in tomorrow night with more details on the screenwriting contest - I get my genre and action!
